Spawn through Tom

Krue stands at starting spawn. His three-Bandits quest is the repeatable engine for levels 1–6; do not wander the map looking for a second beginner NPC. At level 7 he sends you at Mini Boss Zuko. That is still a Krue quest, not a trainer unlock and not Final Selection.

Raze sells the first steel. Regular Katana is 500 Wen, Fancy Katana is 1500 Wen, both at Windy Peak. Buy one before you start later trainer quests that assume you already swing a blade. Tom sits in the bear area: bear-hunting at 13, Mother Bear at 18. Recover the Lost Pages on this same early chain to receive the Book of Guidance checklist rather than guessing the next named stop.

Ginzo and Ren are side merchants on this same map: Jewelry Box to Mistfall Harbor, blade return to Butterfly Estate. They do not replace Krue. Do them when you pass the waterfall or the harbor, not instead of the numbered ladder. Krue, Raze, and Tom are the only three names you need before level 25. If you skip Raze you arrive at a trainer without a blade. If you skip Tom you sit at 12 when Breathing wants 25. If you skip the Lost Pages you lose the Book of Guidance list and have to reconstruct the same stops from memory. The numbered rows on this route are the same chain those three NPCs actually give you, including Mini Boss Zuko at 7 and Mother Bear at 18. Side merchants Ren and Ginzo wait at Butterfly Estate and Mistfall Harbor; they buy a returned blade and a Jewelry Box, they do not replace the ladder. Final Selection still wants 45 at the Sisters even after Breathing unlocks, and Steve still starts the Hand Demon at the last stage.

Breathing, Chaka, and Final Selection

Level 25 is the Breathing gate. Each style has a named trainer, a landmark, and a cost in horns, Wen, Wall Climb, or weapons. Rengu teaches Flame on a house top near the red bridge from Mistfall Village for 10 Demon Horns. Urokodaki teaches Water in the Bamboo Grove underwater cave for 5000 Wen and 30 Demon Horns. Full trainer rows live on the trainers page; this ladder only marks when you are allowed to start them.

Chaka appears after the breathing unlock and grinds Kaiden subordinates from level 26. Wagwan sits under the waterfall below the bear area for the 40–60 stretch. Final Selection starts with The Sisters at the entrance after you cross from Mistfall Harbor to the Final Selection Plains. Rem, Vael, Klien, Rika, Mizuto, Lavato, Levi, and Steve chain fruit, lesser demons, a retrieved katana, bandages, an underwater key, a timed mountain checkpoint, a civilian rescue, and the Hand Demon. Rewards named for a clear run are Mizunoto rank, a uniform, Ore, and a Kasugai Crow. The gate is level 45; launch guides tell solo players to wait until 60.

The Sisters, Rem, Vael, Klien, Rika, Mizuto, Lavato, Levi, and Steve are the trial names after Mistfall Harbor. Fruit, lesser demons, a retrieved katana, bandages, an underwater key, a timed mountain checkpoint, a civilian rescue, and the Hand Demon are the jobs those names give you. Clear rewards stay Mizunoto, uniform, Ore, and Kasugai Crow. Hourly gates still care about level 45 even if Breathing is already done.

Weapons on this route

The Tanto Knife and Claws have an official Q&A from Ouw Productions: barrage and a steerable spinning advance on Tanto, close-range pressure on Claws. Those kits are not the starter purchase. Stone Breathing later asks for Axe and Mace unlocked at Gyorei. Keep Wen for Water’s 5000 cost if that is your first style. The weapons page lists Regular and Fancy katanas, the showcased pair, and the six live game passes including Extra Slots and Set Spawn Anywhere.
